Spain is the network's busiest move, and the most cheerfully chaotic. Costas del Sol and Blanca, the Balearics, the inland villages of Andalucía — every region has its own logistics rhythm and its own dance with the local NIE office.
The route runs through the Channel and down the Atlantic via Bordeaux, or down the eastern French corridor through Lyon if your destination is the Mediterranean coast. Both routes are well-trodden. The padrón and the NIE are the parts that catch newcomers; we time the move so neither becomes a problem.

Every Spain quote is a single fixed figure in writing — transit, customs, insurance, door-to-door. The Costa del Sol is our weekly run; inland Andalucía adds a final-mile transfer; the Balearics add a ferry leg. The Essex surveyor walks the property and the destination access details before any figures are written down.

Transit times depend on route, volume, customs clearance, and consolidation scheduling. Your written quote will include an indicative window. Costa del Sol is a longer haul than the Costa Brava simply because of distance, but Spanish aduanas are reliably quick at the major entry points.
Strictly no — but practically yes, for almost everything that comes after the move. Apply at the Spanish consulate in London before you fly. We don't hold the move on your NIE; we hold it on your padrón window.
It's your registration with the local town hall — empadronamiento. Required for the Spanish healthcare card, schooling, and most utility connections. Apply within thirty days of moving in. We time delivery so you have access to the property before the deadline.
It usually does. The destination team measures the lift at survey-handoff and books a furniture-mover slot with the comunidad. If anything won't fit, we hoist it from the calle — Spanish urbano blocks expect this and most have hoist-friendly balconies.
Yes. Spanish conveyancing runs on its own clock; we hold goods at our partner depots in Málaga, Valencia, or Madrid until the escritura is signed.
Summer Spanish heat is real. Climate-controlled transport is available for art, instruments, electronics, and wine — flagged at survey. Standard transit is fine for most household goods.
Yes. Customs are cleared on the peninsula; the ferry leg is costed as part of the single quote. Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza all routine.
Standard at delivery. The destination crew lays runners through the loaded route and uses soft-pad trolleys. Terracotta marks easily; we know.
Vehicle transport is a separate service we arrange through partner specialists. Filed under a different customs declaration, not part of household goods. Usually most efficient as a piggyback rather than a sole shipment.
